How about driving one of the world’s most popular sports cars on one of our driving tours? A Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet is one of the less expensive options from the list of cars, but we would like to think of it as a bang for the buck experience. Because despite a 911 comes with a lower price tag than a Ferrari or Lamborghini, you can have a superb driving experience in this car. If you think you can not keep up with the supercars you are wrong. The people in Zuffenhausen know what they are doing.
The second generation Porsche 911 Carrera S, with a newly developed 3.0L turbocharged engine, has 420 horsepower at 6,500 rpm. Low-end torque is one of the best new features of the new 911, as this comes very handy on mountain roads. You get the maximum 500 Nm already at 1,700 rpm, and up to 5,000 rpm. Since our cars are all equipped with PDK you will reach zero to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds (or 3.9 seconds in Sport+ if the car has the Sport Chrono Package). Top speed is 306 km/h. We doubt you would feel like you are in a slow car.
The Porsche 911 has always been one of our personal favourites for the mountain passes. It is the perfect size also for the tight roads, it has a nice engine sound you with pleasure listen to for a few hours on the road – or a full day, and it is by far one of the best handling cars we have ever experienced. This is a car that is built to perform very well on a race track, but is such a pleasant car to drive on all kind of roads.
Most of the Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet models we offer are second generation 991.2 cars – turbocharged. If you want to test the first generation 991 Carrera S with a 3.8L naturally aspirated engine (400 horsepower), you can find 2014 S or 4S models for our tours from Italy. If you wish to drive a 991.2 Coupe instead of a Cabriolet, we can offer coupe models on our driving tours with start in Germany.
