Due to the worldwide coronavirus outbreak three iconic car races in Europe scheduled for May have been cancelled or postponed. The Monaco F1 Grand Prix and the Historic Grand Prix of Monaco have been cancelled, and the Mille Miglia classic car race through Italy has been postponed to late October. The new dates for the Mille Miglia classic car race are now 22nd October to 25th October 2020. According to the information we have there will be no new dates for the Historic Grand Prix of Monaco, and the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix, for the 2020 season. Instead the races are more likely to be scheduled for 2021 – or in the case of the Historic Grand Prix, possibly 2022. Monaco F1 Grand Prix Arguably the most prestigious Formula 1 race in calendar, Monaco’s world-famous Grand Prix, is an annual weekend race always scheduled for the end of May, held in the small principality of Monaco on the Côte d’Azur. The principality’s roads are transformed into a 3.337 km city race circuit – many motorsport fans know the track by heart – including the world’s most famous bend – the Fairmont hairpin – and the legendary swimming pool complex. […]
The McLaren 675LT “Longtail” took the world by storm when it was unveiled in early 2015 and this McLaren Super Series model, limited to only 500 cars, sold out quickly. As response to worldwide customer demand McLaren later the same year revealed the open top version of the 675LT, known as the McLaren 675LT Spider. Also launched as a limited edition model, this latest addition to our rental fleet is one of only 500 opportunities worldwide to enjoy this fantastic car. We want you to experience this journey filled with luxury and style, staying in the most exclusive hotels and driving some of the greatest roads. Finished in distinctive mantis green, our 675LT available for touring is certainly a head turner – and perhaps not for shy drivers. As the fastest ever open-top McLaren, speed is in the 675LT model’s DNA, sharing much of the technology developed for the McLaren P1™. The word “Longtail” was established by the race-winning McLaren F1 GTR ‘Longtail’ in the late 1990s and similarly the 675 Longtail Spider has been developed with a focus on enhanced lightweight components and optimised aerodynamic performance. The single-piece carbon fibre “Monocell” chassis, with a weight of only 75 kg, […]

Located right on the scenic driving road Grimsel Pass 2,165 m above sea level, in the heart of the Bernese Alps, this hotel is as close as you can get to falling asleep next to a beautiful mountain pass. Modern alpine chalet style rooms offer views over mountains or the artificial lake Grimselsee, and surrounded by rocky landscapes this is one of the most special views to wake up to in Europe. It was year 1142 and Grimsel Hospiz, part of the Piedmont-Burgundy trade route, was the first guesthouse in Switzerland that was mentioned in documents. Today this small hotel has 28 rooms – in the main building double and single rooms furnished in 1930’s style, and in the house Aaretal double rooms furnished in 1970’s style. One of the most anticipated new cars for this season is without question the Lamborghini Aventador S Coupé. When a brand like Lamborghini takes their flagship model and redesigns it to make it even better – the S – we are convinced this is the new car many of us crave to take out for a test drive this year. And the good news is, you can. There is no need to afford to buy one because some pleasures in life are short, but memorable. Take the Lamborghini Aventador S out on one of our driving tours on Côte d’Azur, or another region in Europe, and get 1-4 days in the car on some of the greatest driving roads you can imagine. When the time is limited make the most out of it – but what an experience it would be to do a driving tour in one. Heads would be turning and by the end of the day your cheeks would start to hurt from all the smiling. Lamborghini Aventador S Coupé – the performance Because we bet you would be smiling – a lot. With a list of classic cars available for classic car tours this year, we would like to introduce you to some of the cars in the fleet. It was for us clear in the beginning that although our main business is supercar tours, we also wanted to give people the opportunity to do our driving tours in a classic car. Driving a classic car is very different from driving a modern high performance cars and for that reason we have had to do some small changes to the routes if it was to be driven with an old car. We are however more than happy to design custom tours as well – just tell us which car you are interested in, where you want to tour, and how many days you have time. Currently we have most of the classic car tours on Côte d’Azur – because with more than 300 days with sunshine per day, we think the French Riviera is one of the best places in Europe for organizing classic car tours. We can also offer classic cars to drive in Tuscany for the Tuscany & Porto Ercole tour – which has a beautiful route to experience in […]
For the upcoming season we are offering a Ferrari GTC4Lusso (read more about it here) to rent for our driving tours in Italy, or by special request we can of course have it delivered to any location in Europe. The GTC4Lusso, first launched in 2016, is the successor to the four-seat grand tourer Ferrari FF. Powered by a 6.3L naturally aspirated V12 this supercar can reach a top speed of 345 km/h and accelerate from zero to hundred km/h in 3.4 seconds. Some impressive numbers for an almost 2000 kg car with four seats! 681 bhp is available at 8,000 rpm and although the maximum torque of 697 Nm is not unleashed before you have reached 5,750 rpm, Ferrari says 80% of the torque is available already at 1,750 rpm. The Ferrari GTC4 Lusso comes with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. People who consider doing a supercar driving experience rarely think they can combine it with a family holiday. The majority of the supercars and sports cars have only two seats – and some 2+2 cars offer practically no leg space at all for the rear passengers. The Ferrari GTC4Lusso is a nice exception in this group. […]
One of the greatest addition to our rental cars this year is the Porsche 991 GT3 RS (read more about it here). This is a race car for the road, one of the most exciting new Porsches you can experience at the moment, and a little more hardcore than one of our all time favourites – the 991 GT3. Unfortunately the 991 GT3 is unavailable to rent for driving tours, but why not instead experience it’s big brother with an RS added to the model name – you will not be disappointed! The Porsche 991 GT3 RS is packed with supercar power. The 500 horsepower naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-six engine has a maximum torque of 460 Nm at 8,250 rpm. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds – as a comparison, the new Huracan can do 3.2 seconds (Spyder 3.4 seconds), and the Ferrari 488 GTB or Spider 3.1 seconds. With that said you will not be slow in the group if you drive a Porsche. The speedometer needle will climb all the way up to 310 km/h – a number you can reach only on a race track, airport runway, or the German Autobahn. However top speed […]
Stelvio Pass (Passo dello Stelvio) in Italy has now been cleared of snow and is open to traffic (see the webcam here). Every year it is a long wait for the driving enthusiasts, when we follow updates about snow conditions on the higher mountain passes in the Alps. Most passes open late May or early June, but sometimes even later. With Stelvio now open we are happy to announce that our Italian Lakes & the Alps tour is ready to be driven soon, when they no longer require winter tires on the road. With our Swiss Alps & Stelvio driving tour, with start in Zürich, we still need to wait to end of June before all the roads and hotels are open. But if you want an early start on Stelvio, why not fly to Milan instead, and enjoy some touring in the Italian Alps and on the shores of beautiful lakes. Perhaps you would want to test drive one of the most recent models we have available, the Lamborghini Huracán Spyder or Ferrari 488 Spider. Stelvio Pass is at 2,757 m above sea level the highest paved mountain pass in the Eastern Alps, and the second highest in the […]
We have many different models listed on our page of cars you can rent for our driving tours. These are cars like Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari 488 Spider and Lamborghini Huracan Spyder. Still we think one of the most exciting cars we have added so far is probably the best manual transmission sports car you can find to rent in Europe, a Porsche Cayman GT4 (read more about it here). You might wonder why in that huge list of exotic supercars we are so excited about a Cayman. But readers, this is not your average Cayman. This is the Cayman many people dream of driving, and owning. Including ourselves. In the world of sports and supercar rental manual transmission cars are rare to find. One of the reasons is of course that not many manufacturers offer manual gearbox as an option for their models. Paddle-shift gearboxes are taking over, and although we like them too, we could not live without the manual gearbox. The second reason is that most customers request automatic transmission cars, so rental companies prefer to keep cars they are most likely to get customers for. But we believe there are people like us out […]
Rent McLaren 650S Spider: As part of our supercar hire fleet in Europe we introduce to you the beautiful McLaren 650S Spider in orange, that is available to rent for all our driving tours in Europe. We can deliver the car to any location by request. Select the driving tour you are interested in, or contact us by email for a quote. Perhaps you want to experience a different type of la dolce vita touring the Tuscan countryside in an British McLaren instead of the for many more obvious choice, a red Ferrari? Or maybe this would be the perfect car to take on some high alpine roads?’ Top Gear rated the car 10/10 and called it perfect. They wrote in this article that it drives identically to the coupe, but with more volume and drama. Autocar wrote the McLaren 650S Spider is worth every penny extra over the coupe model, “Because it can do just about everything the coupé can do dynamically yet adds a sizeable hit of extra sex appeal to go with it.”. You can watch their full road test video below. This surely is a car you do not go unnoticed in, and the colour looks […]
“The world’s greatest driving roads in the best driver’s cars” Welcome to Colcorsa. Last summer an idea started to develop. A few months later the idea was no longer only an idea, it was now an actual plan, and it had a deadline. That deadline was set to January and today we are proud to say our website has finally launched. One of the greatest pleasures in life has been to design routes, pick nice hotels, plan the best stops, and search for the restaurants the locals recommend. Using this knowledge and experience we wanted to create some enjoyable and luxurious driving tour packages for others to enjoy around Europe. These tours we want to make available in the best supercars, sports cars and classic cars. We want to offer many different high performance cars to everyone’s taste – and budget. Although we want to create a luxury experience from start to finish, we also wanted to design some tours that appeal to the people who do not want to stop driving. We understand that there are people who actually only want to drive the car for as many hours as possible. We now believe we have a good mix […]
