Dallara Stradale

Rent a Dallara Stradale if you're looking for something truly unique - this is the car you should experience. Built in Italy by the Italian chassis manufacturer Dallara, a company that has designed race cars since 1972, this exotic two-seater sports car is a thrilling driving experience on the greatest driving roads in Europe. In its basic form the car is a barchetta - without doors, so you'll have to step inside the car over the sides - but it can be converted to roadster, targa or coupe with interchangeable parts.

The two cars available to experience on our Colcorsa driving tours in Europe are with different specifications, so you'll be able to choose the machine that suits you best. The first blue car a full option roadster equipped with a windscreen and removable roof, which turns the car into a gull-wing coupe with glass doors. The transmission is an automated manual with paddle shifters, and the car also has air conditioning. We also have available a yellow early production barchetta equipped with the standard 6-speed manual gearbox, a stripped down car without a windscreen or a roof (helmet is definitely recommended) - a purist's toy for the sunny day.

The car, built around a carbonfibre monocoque, is powered by a 2.3L turbocharged inline-four from a Ford Focus RS, producing enough power to make the car accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.25 seconds. The optional rear wing - fitted on both of our rental cars - generates 820 kg of downforce at top speed.

Unveiled in 2017 on the occasion of the company founder Gian Paolo Dallara's 81st birthday, the Dallara Stradale is the company’s first road car. This 855 kg lightweight driver-focused sports car has a chassis designed by former race car driver Loris Bicocchi, a man who has also co-designed cars for some of the world’s most extreme hypercar manufacturers such as Koenigsegg, Pagani and Bugatti. Before starting his own company Mr. Dallara worked for other companies, and some of his personal achievements include co-desiging the chassis of quite possibly the most beautiful Lamborghini ever built - the Miura - as well as historic Williams F1 race cars.

Being such a special car it doesn't come with much space for luggage - if you'd like to rent the Dallara Stradale for one of our driving tours we'd be happy to organise separate luggage transfer between the hotels. If your machine of choice is the blue car with a roof, the roof can be transported separately together with your suitcases, giving you the choice each morning to drive with the wind in your hair, or in the dry under the targa roof - depending on the weather conditions.
