The Ferrari 458 Italia is the predecessor to the Ferrari 488 GTB, powered by the first turbocharged V8 engines from Maranello. First unveiled in 2009 the 458 Italia was in production for six years, and is still considered to be one of the most exciting mid-engined supercars to come out of the Ferrari factory.

The Ferrari 458 Italia has a body designed by Pininfarina, an an interior approved by F1 race driver Michael Schumacher, who gave his inputs to create a more race inspired functionality. During the whole design process Ferrari has incorporated technologies developed from the company's experience and huge success in Formula One, and it is no wonder that this car is still considered to be one of the most sought after modern classics with a prancing horse badge. The car is powered by a 4.5L V8, producing 562 horsepower at 9,000 rpm - the redline - and 540 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, with 80% of the torque available already at 3,250 rpm.

Not only does it produce a magical soundtrack once you get those revs up, but it was also blisteringly fast at its time - and still is, although it is hard to compete with modern turbochargers in a straight line. It will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, and it can reach a top speed of 339 km/h.
