Rent a Ferrari 812 GTS and experience the most powerful production convertible on the market. Powered by the same 6.5L V12 engine as its sibling, the Ferrari 812 superfast, the 812 GTS also produces an impressive 789 horsepower and 718 Nm of torque - with 80% of the torque available already at 3,500 rpm. The rev limit is 8,900 rpm and all we can say is that you're in for a great ride in this naturally aspirated supercar.
Ferrari claims that the 812 GTS will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.0 seconds - we expect the actual number to be somewhere between 2.9 and 3.0 - and it can reach the same top speed as the coupe, 340 km/h.
Like the 812 superfast the 812 GTS also has electric power steering and Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0 four-wheel steering system - both there to make sure you get the most of out of the immense performance this car has. There are a few changes compared to the 812 superfast though. Most notably the 812 GTS is 75 kg heavier than the coupe, the transmission has shorter gear ratios to improve the car's response to throttle inputs, and they have improved the fuel economy a bit by for example fitting a stop-start system.
First revealed to the public in September 2019, the Ferrari 812 GTS is the first front-engine V12 series production convertible model offered by Ferrari in 50 years - since the Daytona Spyder in 1971 (Ferrari 365 GTS/4), which wasn't produced in huge numbers. In the last 50 years there have been a few limited edition V12 models - the convertible models of the 550, the 575 and the 599 - however these were all reserved for a few selected special customers of Ferrari and hence weren't productions cars available to the general public like the 812 GTS.
The electric roof takes just 14 seconds to open or close, and you can operate it at speeds up to 45 km/h. For road trips the car isn't the most practical with its 210L boot space - that is smaller than the 310L in the superfast (or 500L if you count the parcel shelf space behind the seats) - however as with all supercars, if there's a will there's a way, and in the case of the Ferrari 812 GTS it's called separate luggage transfer.
Experience this magnificent V12 Spider on a Colcorsa driving tour - a luxurious journey of discovery in the country of your choice - or rent the Ferrari 812 GTS in Europe and make your own travel arrangements. The open road awaits...
