The Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae is powered by the same engine as the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, a 6.5L naturally aspirated V12 - the last of its kind, and the end of an era for this breathtaking model from Lamborghini. The engine produces 769 horsepower (that is 10 more than the SVJ) and 720 Nm of torque, and will accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in an impressive 2.8 seconds. The Ultimae can reach a top speed of 355 km/h - that is a blisteringly fast supercar. Lamborghini calls it 'the grand finale of the traditional V12 combustion engine' - because the future looks very hybrid or even full electric...

According to Lamborghini the Ultimae is a mix of the S and the SVJ. When it comes to performance it is uncompromising like the SVJ, however when it comes to looks the company opted for the more elegant design of the S. Changes to the design of the S include more carbon fiber - the new front bumper, massive side skirts, rear diffuser... And the end results is that the Ultimae is 25 kg lighter than the S. Staying true to the soul of the Aventador the car is of course all-wheel drive, and the transmission is the 7-speed ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) that will shift automatically in 50 milliseconds - a sometimes controversial gearbox, but also extremely capable.
