Lamborghini Urus Performante

Under the bonnet of the Urus Performante sits the same 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 - derived from Audi - that you'll find in the other Urus models. The horsepower increase is only a fairly modest 16 horsepower, ending up at 657 hp for the Performante, and the 850 Nm maximum torque figure remains unchanged. However thanks to the weight reduction in the Performante the 0-100 km/h number is lower - 3.3 seconds instead of 3.6 seconds - and top speed is the same 306 km/h shared with the other Urus models.

So what has changed compared to a standard Lamborghini Urus? Lookswise we're looking at lots of carbon fiber details added to the car - most eyecatchingly the optional carbon bonnet, however there are modifications all around the car - and of course Lamborghini has opted to use lightweight components where possible, and improve the aerodynamics. This has resulted in a car that weighs 2150 kg (curb weight) - that is 47 kg less than a standard Urus. The Urus Performante also has a lower ride height, it produces more downforce, comes with a new Torsen central differential to deliver more torque to the rear wheels during acceleration, and of course the Performante also boasts a louder sport titanium exhaust with a gorgeous soundtrack. In 2022 the car set the Pikes Peak record for the fastest production-SUV, beating the previous production-SUV record (Bentley Bentayga) by nearly 18 seconds.

Despite the Lamborghini Urus Performante being a more sporty version of Lamborghini's sublime off-roader it is still capable of all the same things - this is perhaps best illustrated by the fact that Lamborghini actually added a new Rally mode, designed for high-speed off-road driving, which adjusts the anti-roll system and suspension damping. This is a car you can take to a lot of places - off-road, on the road, on a race track...

Same as with the regular Urus, you can also configure the rear seats of the Performante - the options are either a bench seat which means you can squeeze in a fifth person in the middle seat, or a 4-seater configuration with two separate sports seats.
