McLaren Artura Spider

The McLaren Artura in coupe version - the company's second hybrid after the P1 - has been around for a few years already, however the Artura Spider made its debut in early 2024 with some exciting upgrades that are now also available for the 2025 model year coupe, such as a revised transmission for faster gearshifts, and the response rates for the Proactive Damping Control suspension system has been increased by nearly 90% resulting in a better ride.

The car is powered by a 3.0L twin-turbo charged V6 engine as well as an electric motor, with a combined power output of just under 700 horsepower, and an impressive 720 Nm of torque. All this power results in blisteringly fast performance - the Artura Spider will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 330 km/h.

The pure electric range is estimated at 33 km which means that you'll be able to cruise through the city in near-silence, before unleashing the V6 on those open roads. There are four powertrain drive modes to choose from: Comfort, Sport and Track, and of course the electric only, emissions-free E-mode (which is also the default start up mode).

The McLaren Artura Spider has a retractable hardtop which will open or close in just 11 seconds and can be operated at speeds up to 50 km/h. The roof is manufactured with Suspended Particle technology in the electrochromic glass panel which means it will block out nearly 100% of the sunlight and not heat up the cabin. Despite its hardtop roof and added hybrid technology the dry weight is only 1,457 kg - thanks to the use of lightweight materials. The convertible is only 62 kg heavier than the coupe, and much of that added weight comes from the electric system that operates the roof.

The McLaren Artura Spider is the most fuel-efficient McLaren convertible ever, and lookswise it's an absolute stunner. The boot is not very generous - there is a 160L space under the bonnet - however for your Colcorsa road trip adventures we'll also be able to arrange separate luggage transfer between the hotels if the luggage space on offer doesn't feel sufficient enough.
