Portugal is a lovely place to visit around the year – even during the winter months the weather is usually mild, and snowfall is very rare. In the Serra da Estrela mountain range there is usually snow for a few months of the year, however during that period our ‘Alentejo & Douro Valley’ itinerary can be shortened to just 4 days of driving to avoid any wintery driving conditions.
