McLaren 750S Spider

The 750S Spider is the successor of the McLaren 720S Spider, and whilst it's looks-wise essentially a 720S with a facelift (redesigned front and rear) it features about 30% updated parts compared to its predecessor. Some of the mechanical changes include a 6mm wider front track and new suspension geometry for better front-end grip, twin valve dampers, quicker steering rack and 15% shorter final drive. A larger rear spoiler results in a 5% increase in downforce. At 1438kg it is also 30kg lighter than the 720S - there is so much more to this car than just a new design.

The shredded weight combined with a power increase - the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 comes with 30 more horsepower, and 30 Nm more torque - means the 0-100 km/h acceleration time has been reduced by 0.1 seconds and the 750S Spider will do the sprint in the same 2.8 seconds as the mighty McLaren 765LT Spider. The new central-exit Standard Sports Exhaust makes the V8 symphony even more fantastic to listen to - and there are rumours this might be the manufacturers very last model to be solely powered by an internal combustion engine. The retractable hard top can of course be operated whilst on the move at speeds up to 50 km/h, and will open or close in just 11 seconds.
