Best time to travel
Our tours with start in Munich go into the Austrian and Italian Alps, which means the best season to travel for these itineraries is from early May to late October / early November when the mountain passes are open, although it is also possible to do most of the tours in the winter although the route would be slightly different to exclude the closed roads. If you would like to enjoy a road trip in the winter instead there are other regions in Germany we can recommend that time of the year.
